Spanish Accents, Cleo’s garden

There was some doubt after the passing of John Dankworth last year whether the Music In The Garden summer concert series organised by John and his wife Cleo Laine in the Old Rectory gardens in Wavendon would continue. But this year the festival is back again with as strong a lineup as ever, running from 18 June to 17 July.

This year’s programme includes Cleo Laine, Fenella Fielding, Jacqui Dankworth, Scott Hamilton, The Bateman Brothers Jazz Band, Alan Barnes, Charlie Wood Trio, Lillian Boutté, Mônica Vasconcelos, Gary Potter, Mark Bassey (pictured), Malcolm Earl-Smith and Alec Dankworth’s Spanish Accents.
